After a Long Week

After a long weekend we headed to the drive-in last night. It was a much needed night of brownies and pizza out of the back of Josh's Volvo Station Wagon (perfect vehicle for the drive-in). Around 5pm I came up with the thought for the evening and he quickly agreed. Instead of making something and taking it with us we decided to opt for the easier option and grab pizza. I am bummed I forgot my camera. We saw the Mechanic, which I would rate a B+. I still had to hide my face during violent and bloody scenes. Josh's pick for sure last night and I definitely enjoyed the storyline.

This week at work was rough. I had all of my assistants out on Wednesday and in a classroom where there are many special needs it is difficult to make the day "normal" with two substitute assistants. Let's be honest and say there is probably never a "normal" day in my classroom, but Wednesday was at least two standard deviations away from anything typical. Two assistants were back by Thursday and I had a formal observation in the afternoon. Needless to say it went just fine, however I walked out Thursday with a raging headache and ready to be done for the week.

On a brighter note at the end of my work day yesterday I was able to put up all my February calendar and circle time materials! Hearts, pink and purple couldn't help but get me excited for this next month. Oh, and our yearly class trip to the Phoenix Zoo is right around the corner. February will be great and soon enough spring break will arrive!
