We were able to squeeze in making Cinquain Poems thanks to one of my colleagues effective model of snowflake cutting instruction. I am proud to say we had no snowflake cutting accidents. Here is the pattern of the poem used for the student’s draft, along with pictures of their final products. This was a quick project that fit perfectly into our poetry unit. Painting with watercolors was a perfect last week project for both myself and my students- it may have been the quietest moments in our classroom this year. I may have to do watercolors close to every major break!
